Mercuri International Poland was asked by the Marketing Department and the Product Management Department of our one of the biggest partners from the chemical industry to help them … They were facing the challenge of huge change in product portfolio during lockdown.
THE URGENT NEED
The need for virtual training sessions was urgent because the project had to be prepared and delivered in a very short period of time. In addition, it had to be done really well, as there was no room for “second chances”. It means a proven and reliable partner was need for this project. Otherwise, the sales result would be seriously exposed.
THE CHALLENGE
Nearly 70% of their products were changing because of composition and formulation reasons. As a consequence, in order to secure the sales result, they had to train both existing and new customers – farmers from a distance in a quite short period of time to make it before the season.
Our Consultant Daniel Kundys led the preparation and delivery of that project including the series of workshops for sales representatives (over 30 people within a week) about technical aspects of conducting virtual meetings, tools to engage the audience, the way of preparing appropriate visualization and the most efficient way of presenting it.
THE SUCCESS
The company set the goal itself to train 400 out of 2000 customers within a month. They reached this goal much earlier and even exceeded it because the quality of training sessions were so good that customers recommended each other and invited each other to these virtual training sessions thus increasing the number of participants.
The main success was actually more impressive than merely the number of people trained. What is even more important, is the fact that the customers liked not only online sessions but the idea which was behind them – the new products. Thanks to this project the company achieved its expected sales result, which had previously been at risk.
